A Pet for Anamica

A Pet for Anamica

One day Anamica said to her nother, "Mom, I want to keep a pet." It's a good idea, Anamica", replied haer mother. "You're now old enough to take care of a pet . But, wich animal would you like to keep as your pet "
"Mom, I would like to keep a cat", Anamica replied. "One which has green eyes and a thick white coat of fur."
"Butm Anamica, you know very well taht I don't like cats", said her mother. "Why don't you keep a bird instead of it ?"
"I'll buy you a parrot. I'll hang its cage outside your window and you can talk to it everyday."
The next day, when Anamica came home from school, she saw her mother had bought a parrot for her. Its colour was green. Anamica fed it green chilies and gave it guava to eat. The parrot talked with Anamica. She was happy to talk to the bird. But soon, Anamica got tired of a pet which could not play with her So, she went up to her mother and said, "Ma, I would like to have a cat."
Her mother said, "Why don't you keep fish ? An aquarium in the sitting room will add to its beauty ."
that afternoon, Anamica saw a big glass-tank in the sitting room. There were many colourful fish in it. Anamica sat by the tank and watched them. They swam in and out among the plants, flashing colours of red, green and blue.

Anamica fed the fish with bread and watched them resting for the food.
But again, she soon got bored. "Ma, I would like to have a cat. The fish can't play with me."
"I know that", said her mother. "I'll get you a little squirrel." The next day, a man brought a squirrel in a cage. Anamica was delighted with its bushy tail and bright eyes. She brought it some nuts. The squirrel, habitually was very shy. It remained in a corner of the cage and refused to take the nuts. Anamica ws disappointed and walked away. Sadly, Anamica went to her mother and said, "Ma, I would like to have a cat."
Just then, her mother was getting ready to go to market, "I'll talk to you later, Anamica. Your father is waiting for me in the car." She said and hurried away.
Anamica walked around the house, she squirrel. They were nice pets but they would not with her. Anamica felt very sad.
That night, she cried herself in sleep. The next furry woke Anamica up. She opinion her eyes. A kitten ! Anamica looked again. Beside her on the bed, was a small white kitten.
The kitten purred and looked at Anamica with its big green weyes.
Anamica sat up and carried the kitten in her arms. She ran out of the bedroom to her mother. "Oh mother, thank you, thank you." Her parents were glad to see her happy.

Anamica named the little kitten Kitty. She ran round and round the house with Kitty close at her heels. She now remembered that she had not named her other pets. She called the parrot Mitthoo, the squirrel Bushy and her three favourite fish-Dash, Splash and Crash.

Quality of human

QUALITY QULITY           I  knew him from the days of my extreme me youth, because he made my father’s boots. He lived with his elder brother in his shop, which was in a small by-street in a fashionable part of London. The shop had a certain quiet distinction. There was no sign upon it other than the name of Gassler Brothers; and in the window a few pairs of boots. He made only what was ordered, and what he made never failed to fit. To make boots----such boots as he made ---seemed to me then, and still seems to me, mysterious and wonderful. I remember well my shy remarks, one day, while stretching out to him my youthful foot. “Isn’t it awfully hard to do, Mr. Gassler?’’ And his answer, given with a sudden smile from out of the redness of his beard: “Id is an art!”   It was not possible to go to him very often his boots lasted terribly, having something beyond the ...

The doctor got into his clothes. He went to the table and stared a moment at his watch, his spirit complaint at the horrible hour and he wondered why children had to be boun at such improper times. He took up two smail handbags, the short pill bag, as the people of the town know it, and the long obstetrical case, the haby bag they called it.    Doctor Benson stopped a moment to light and, then put the pack of cigar...
