
Step 1: Connect Both Computers to the Same Network

Ensure that both computers are connected to the same network. This can be a local area network (LAN) via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure both computers are connected to the same wireless network.
Step 2: Enable File and Printer Sharing

1. Open Settings: Click on the Start menu, then select Settings (the gear icon).
2. Go to Network & Internet: In the Settings window, click on "Network & Internet."
3. Change Network Sharing Options: Scroll down and click on "Sharing options" under the "Advanced network settings" section.
4. Enable Network Discovery and File Sharing: Under "Network discovery" and "File and printer sharing," select the radio buttons for "Turn on network discovery" and "Turn on file and printer sharing," respectively.
5. Save Changes: Click on the "Save changes" button to apply the
settings.
Step 3: Share a Folder or File
1. Navigate to the Folder or File: Right-click on the folder or file you want to share. Select "Properties" from the context menu.
2. Sharing Tab: In the Properties window, go to the "Sharing" tab.
3. Click on "Share": Click on the "Share" button. This will open the "File Sharing" window.
4. Select Users to Share With: In the "File Sharing" window, select the users or groups you want to share the folder or file with. You can also set their permission level (Read or Read/Write).
5. Click "Share": Once you've selected the users and set the permissions, click on the "Share" button.
6. Close Properties Window: Click on "Done" or "Close" to
close the Properties window.
Step 4: Access Shared Folder or File from Another Computer

1. Open File Explorer: On the other computer, open File Explorer.
2. Go to Network: In the left-hand navigation pane, click on "Network." You should see the name of the computer you're trying to access.
3. Access Shared Folder or File: Double-click on the name of the computer. You should see the shared folders and files. Double-click on the shared folder to access its contents.
4. Enter Credentials (if prompted): If you're prompted for credentials, enter
the username and password of the account that has permission to access the
shared folder or file on the other computer.
