Connecting Two Windows Computers Remotely

In today's interconnected world, the ability to connect with others remotely has become increasingly important.
Before attempting to establish a remote connection, ensure that both computers are connected to the internet. This could be through a wired or wireless connection, but a stable internet connection is essential for a smooth remote connection experience.
Step 2: Enable Remote Desktop on the Target Computer
Remote Desktop is a built-in feature in Windows that allows you to connect to another computer over a network connection. To enable Remote Desktop on the target computer:

1. Open the Control Panel on the target computer.
2. Navigate to "System and Security" > "System."
3. Click on "Remote settings" in the left pane.
4. Under the Remote tab, check the box next to "Allow remote connections to this computer."
5. Optionally, you can adjust additional settings such as user permissions and network level authentication.

Step 3: Find the IP Address of the Target Computer
To establish a remote connection, you'll need to know the IP address of the target computer. You can find this information by:

1. Pressing Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
2. Typing "cmd" and pressing Enter to open the Command Prompt.
3. In the Command Prompt window, type "ipconfig" and press Enter.
4. Note down the IPv4 address listed under the network adapter connected to the internet.
Step 4: Connect to the Target Computer from the Remote Computer
Once you have the IP address of the target computer and Remote Desktop is enabled, you can initiate the remote connection from another Windows computer:
1. Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.
2. Type "mstsc" and press Enter to open the Remote Desktop Connection window.
3. In the Remote Desktop Connection window, enter the IP address of the target computer in the Computer field.
4. Click Connect, and you will be prompted to enter the username and password of the target computer.
5. Once authenticated, you will be connected to the target computer remotely.
Step 5: Disconnect and End the Remote Session
