Setting up IP address 

Involves several steps
1.Open Network Settings:
- Click on the Start menu and select the Settings gear icon (or press Win + I).
- Go to "Network & Internet."

2. Access Network and Sharing Center:
- From the Network & Internet settings, click on "Change adapter options" under the "Advanced network settings" section. This will open the Network Connections window.

3. Access Adapter Properties:
- In the Network Connections window, right-click on the network adapter you're using (usually labeled "Ethernet" or "Wi-Fi") and select "Properties.".

4. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4):
- In the Properties window, locate and select "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" from the list of items.
- Click on the "Properties" button below the list.

5. Set IP Address:
- In the IPv4 Properties window, select the option "Use the following IP address."
- Enter the desired IP address in the "IP address" field.
- Input the subnet mask in the appropriate field. Usually, this will be "255.255.255.0" for home networks.

- Enter the default gateway address provided by your network administrator or router in the "Default gateway" field.
6. Configure DNS Servers (Optional):
- You can specify DNS server addresses manually or leave them to be obtained automatically.
- To set DNS servers manually, select the option "Use the following DNS server addresses" and enter the preferred and alternate DNS server addresses provided by your network administrator or ISP.
7. Apply Changes:
- Once you've entered all the required information, click "OK" to apply the changes and close the IPv4 Properties window.
- Click "OK" again to close the adapter's Properties window.
8. Close Network Connections Window:

- Close the Network Connections window.
9. Restart Your Computer (Optional):
- Sometimes, restarting your computer might be necessary for the changes to take effect, especially if you're experiencing connectivity issues after making these changes.
